MEMBERS ONLY: Display your Tesla at the Transportation Expo at the Central Square at Seaside

The Seaside Institute™, in conjunction with the Congress for New Urbanism, is hosting a Transportation Expo at the Central Square at Seaside on February 8, 2020.

As part of the Expo, our club has been invited to display our Teslas and describe the ownership experience on Saturday, February 8th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. (Mercedes and Porsche are also expected to be displaying.)

Electric Charging

Although they are not currently programmed into your navigation system, there are two low capacity (12 amp, 10-12 mph) Tesla Connectors located at 25 Central Square Santa Rosa Beach.  I am informed that a third Tesla Connector is planned to be installed before the event.

The DeFuniak Springs Supercharger Station is about 31 miles north of this event.

Transportation Workshop

Overview

Although our club's participation is limited to the Luxury Car Club portion of the Expo on Saturday, February 8th, the entire Transportation Summit and Expo is from February 6th to 8th.

This is a two-part event that includes a workshop and Expo, both are open to the public. The Workshop portion is scheduled for a full day on Thursday, February 6th and a 1/2 day on Friday, February 7th.

During the workshop, the general public, experts, and speakers discuss key elements of transportation planning, parking, and traffic management. This will include a review of the Walton County Mobility Plan, in particular, attention to segments along the 30A corridor.

So, if you want to express your opinion regarding local transportation issues, you may wish to join the Transportation workshop portion of the program on Thursday and/or Friday.
