Got cabin fever, but want to treat yourself to dining out at a lovely and safe place with excellent food?

Recently my wife, Mary Ellen, and I celebrated her birthday by dining outside. We are both at risk for COVID-19, but we believe we found a place with minimal risk. The Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub is a delightful place. It is quite romantic being nestled under stately buttonwood trees overlooking the water. Of course, it is outside, and the food and service are exceptional.

The management is very serious about maintaining COVID-19 protocols. No one is permitted to enter without a face mask. Once you are seated, you can remove your mask.

All of the tables are spaced further than the recommended six feet, and all the staff wears masks and gloves while serving. We took the two previous photos last week.

So, while it is impossible to reduce all risk, we wanted to share this special place with our fellow club members. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to socially interact very much. Each couple or family will be seated at separate tables, but we will be seated nearby in a group.

Seating is limited to the first 24 members that register. This will be a weekday lunch.
